He sent well-wishes for a swift recovery to the injured and offered strength to the families.
As per police reports, the horrific incident occurred during the city festival on Friday night, where three individuals lost their lives and eight were injured. North Rhine-Westphalia police categorized the incident as an attack, given that the perpetrator had a deliberate target in mind.
Other cities, including Hamburg, have expressed solidarity with Solingen, expressing shock and condemnation over the attack. Witnesses have described the scene as chaotic and traumatic, with many seeking psychological support after the incident.
