On a Friday evening, it seems a man indiscriminately stabbed spectators during the 650th anniversary celebration of Solingen - dubbed the "Celebration of Diversity." Three lives were lost as a result. A 26-year-old individual of Syrian descent was apprehended late on Saturday night. He reportedly surrendered to the authorities in Düsseldorf. The federal investigation office is examining him for potential charges of murder and ties to the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS).
