Financial strategies or approaches put in place by a government to manage their economy. - Söder unveils modernization and speed-up initiative

Markus Söder, the Minister President of Bavaria (CSU), has shared his outline for the government's economic policy declaration coming Thursday. He described it as the "Modernization and Speed Acceleration Program for Bavaria 2030." According to Söder, this initiative is not about handing out money but rather about improving structures, streamlining processes, and speeding up progress. "If we want Bavaria to be at the forefront, then we need to make things happen," he said following a cabinet meeting in Munich.

Digitalization, skilled workers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and energy were highlighted as focus areas in this program. Economic Minister Hubert Aiwanger from the Free Voters chose not to comment on his involvement in the planning process or his opinion of Söder taking the lead on these matters. Furthermore, he declined to elaborate on how he and Söder plan to collaborate in the future, considering some tensions during the election campaign. "I'm not addressing that question," said Aiwanger. Söder stressed the importance of positive collaboration, adding "We have decided to let any high-level criticisms and snipes bounce off us." As for the government declaration, he assured it would involve close cooperation and coordination.
