Legislative assembly - Söder plans to showcase a modernization program.

The Chief Minister of Bavaria, Markus Söder (CSU), is set to make an economic policy statement in the state legislature tomorrow morning (9 AM). He's previously declared a Modernization and Acceleration Plan for Bavaria 2030, a strategy not focused on dishing out cash, instead on structure enhancements, expediting processes, and updating systems.

The key areas to tackle are bureaucratic reduction, digitalization, energy policy, recruiting skilled labor, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses. The plan should avoid turning into a "traffic light bashing" and become purely about Bavaria's state politics. Söder stressed that only implementable actions should be considered.

Prior to the Pentecost holidays, Söder clearly stated that he plans to make economic policy his top priority. However, this aligns with the coalition's vision, he added.
