- Social support organizations voice concerns over unpredictable financial support.

Berlin's social support groups are showing serious concern due to the state government's financial adjustments. According to a statement released by the top associations of the Free Welfare Association (LIGA Berlin), "numerous Berlin families are uncertain if they'll still receive aid from their local family center in January, if their debt counseling service will continue operating, if their youth club will shut down at the beginning of the new year, or if their long-time school social worker will no longer be able to assist their children."

There's a significant chance that social services for residents will be reduced, states Andrea Ursula Asch, a member of LIGA's executive board and chair of Diakonie Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Oberlausitz. "Many service providers have only received temporary funding decisions this year. They've yet to receive any clear indications from the Senate Chancellery." Social aid is greatly needed, and in many instances, it doesn't even meet the current demand.

Mayor Kai Wegner (CDU) mentioned, due to budget constraints, he would assess which social initiatives are practical and which ones could be eliminated without causing a "sharp decline" in the city.

The welfare association, specifically Liga Berlin, is expressing anxiety about potential cuts in social services due to the state government's financial adjustments. Germane to this, Andrea Ursula Asch, a member of LIGA's executive board and chair of Diakonie Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Oberlausitz, expressed concerns about the uncertainty faced by service providers, including the family center, debt counseling service, youth club, and school social worker.
