Football national player Lea Schüller of FC Bayern and Austrian sailor Lara Vadlau were considered a dream couple before the Summer Games - but they have ended their long-term relationship. "Lea is no longer my partner," Vadlau said in an O3 interview after her Olympic victory in Marseille. "Of course, I'm very proud of her, and we're still very good friends, and I wish her all the best."

The 26-year-old Schüller had not commented on the matter before the bronze medal match against world champions Spain. Vadlau (30) won gold in the 470 class with crewmate Lukas Mähr in Marseille this week, celebrating the biggest success of her career.

Lea Schüller continued to focus on her football duties, delivering a strong performance in the bronze medal match against Spain. Despite the publicness of their breakup, Vadlau still acknowledged Lea's talent, expressing her pride and wishing her well in future endeavors.
