Düsseldorf, a city in Germany, showcases the connection between art and football as the European Championship kicks off. Five large murals decorate the landscape, representing the sport and the creative mindset of this NRW state capital. These murals serve as a backdrop for the five games to be played here.

One particular mural stands out, created by "Original Ami X Pretty Portal". It features Klaus Allofs, a former German national player for Fortuna Düsseldorf, celebrating a goal he scored against the Netherlands during the first round of the 1980 European Championship. At the time, Allofs was a top scorer with three goals, a feat that left its mark on the tournament 44 years ago. The rest of the murals are from artists hailing from countries playing in Düsseldorf during the event.
