There will be no soccer matches at association level in Hamburg next weekend either. On Thursday, the Hamburg Football Association announced the second cancellation in a row. The Schleswig-Holstein Football Association had already decided on Wednesday to cancel all matches. As on the previous weekend, the conditions on the pitch after the snowfall did not allow for regular playing conditions, the associations announced.

Despite the disappointment among amateur soccer players in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, both soccer associations decided to cancel all weekend matches due to unfavorable weather conditions. The Hamburg Football Association followed the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association's announcement, citing unsuitable playing conditions after the snowfall. Regrettably, this meant a second consecutive weekend with no soccer games for local amateurs in Hamburg.

Though Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein amateurs may have anticipated playing soccer, the Germany-based Soccer Association's strict policies ensured the safety of players and supporters by cancelling the weekend's matches.

As the local soccer community in Hamburg awaited the weekend's matches, the occurrence of snowfall once again thwarted their plans. Beyond Hamburg, the Schleswig-Holstein region experienced similar difficulties, prompting the cancellation of all scheduled soccer games.

While the received announcement from both the Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein Football Associations may have brought frustration to the local soccer community, they remained committed to prioritizing player and audience safety under the guidelines set forth by the German Soccer Association.
