Around 600 young football fans cheered for Hungary's team during their practice session in Weiler-Simmerberg. Coach Marco Rossi's squad made an appearance at FV Rot-Weiß Weiler's stadium on Wednesday evening, training for an hour. Peter Gulasci from Leipzig received shouts of approval, while Dominik Szoboszlai from FC Liverpool wowed the crowd with his powerful shots.

Szoboszlai, a former Leipzig player, underwent a full training session. Although he was substituted in the 3-0 match against Israel in the warm-up, he played down his absence. Hungarian news agency MTI reported a minor physical issue but assured it wouldn't impact the game against Switzerland in Cologne on Saturday.

The Hungarians are set to face the German European Championship host team next Wednesday (6:00 p.m./ARD and MagentaTV). On June 23, they'll play their last group match against Scotland in Stuttgart. The sports-hungry 6,500-resident community in Westallgäu is buzzing with excitement. According to tourism chief Sebastian Koch, they could have given out twice as many tickets for the public training.

Koch suggests an ideal scenario: "Both teams win their opening match, draw against each other, then each wins their third group match - and we see each other in the final again."

Martin Ádám, a striker and South Korean pro, made a fan's phone soar into the goal from a distance. Besides Gulasci and Willi Orban from RB Leipzig, Attila Szalai, Roland Sallai (both SC Freiburg), András Schäfer from 1. FC Union Berlin, and Marton Dardai from Hertha BSC, there are several Bundesliga players in Hungary's team. Rossi had previously led Hungary to the European Championship in 2021, but was eliminated in the group stage, competing with France, Germany, and Portugal.
