Emergencies - Snowboarder falls down a cliff: 42-year-old seriously injured
A man from Baden-Württemberg fell down a rock face while snowboarding in Zürs, Austria, and was seriously injured. The 42-year-old probably overlooked the precipice of the approximately eight-metre-high Martinsfelsen when he was riding off-piste, the police in Lech in Vorarlberg reported on Saturday. Despite a notice board placed in front of the precipice, the man fell down and came to rest seriously injured on the slope below. The 42-year-old, who was wearing a helmet, was reportedly first treated by helpers and the piste rescue team and then flown to hospital in a rescue helicopter.
