Weather - Snow and slightly rising temperatures in sight
The new week will bring snow and rain in places as well as slightly rising temperatures to Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. This was announced by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach on Sunday. On Monday, people in the two federal states will initially have to prepare for snow and black ice in some areas. During the course of the day, temperatures are expected to rise steadily from the southwest to up to 4 degrees. Most of the snow will turn to rain in the lowlands. In the mountains, however, up to ten centimetres of fresh snow is possible. The weather will remain similar on Tuesday: according to the DWD, it will be very cloudy and overcast with showers in the lowlands and sleet at higher altitudes. Temperatures will be between 3 and 6 degrees.
