People in North Rhine-Westphalia will have to brace themselves for low temperatures and snow at the start of the new week. Many clouds will be joined by snow from the west from Monday afternoon, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).
However, this will change to rain in the far west of North Rhine-Westphalia in the evening. According to the DWD, temperatures will reach a high of 4 degrees in the west and 1 degree in the east. In addition, there will be a weak wind; individual strong gusts are also possible at high altitudes.
On Tuesday, the sky over North Rhine-Westphalia will be cloudy to overcast. It could rain again and again; in the mountains, the rain could also turn into sleet. According to the DWD, temperatures will be somewhat milder, with a maximum of 6 degrees in the west and 4 degrees in the east. In ridge locations, the thermometer will show 0 degrees. The wind will be weak.
Wednesday will be cloudy to very cloudy. In addition, it will rain again and again, the DWD wrote; at higher altitudes there could be sleet again. Temperatures will remain similar to Tuesday, but it will be slightly warmer in the mountains with highs of 2 degrees. A weak to moderate wind will blow.
