Soccer - Snow and frost: Cancellation of Berlin soccer extended
There will be no amateur soccer matches in Berlin next weekend due to the weather. This was announced by the Berlin Football Association on Thursday on the X platform (formerly Twitter). As has been the case since last week, the pitch conditions after the snowfall and frost did not allow for regular playing conditions. The decision was made to prevent possible injuries, according to the association.
Hertha BSC's U23 team has also been restricted by the frost and snow. The club announced on X that their away match against FC Energie Cottbus next Saturday would be canceled. A new date has not yet been set. The Regionalliga matches Berliner AK 07-BFC Dynamo and VSG Altglienicke-SV Babelsberg 03 have also been canceled.
