The driver of a van has died in a head-on collision near Eppingen ( Heilbronn district). According to police reports, he was trapped in his vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. On Wednesday, the 40-year-old man first drove onto the grass verge and then into the oncoming lane on a main road for an initially unexplained reason. His van collided with an oncoming truck, came to rest on the road and was hit by another car. The truck driver and the car driver were both seriously injured.
