Emergency landing - Small plane crash lands in Zweibrücken
A British pilot had to make an emergency landing with his plane at Zweibrucken airfield. According to the Pirmasens police, the ultralight aircraft was on its way from London to Salzburg. Originally, the pilot intended to land in Rieschweiler-Muhbach in the Südwestpfalz district to refuel, but during the landing attempt on Thursday afternoon, the plane lost its nose wheel. The pilot continued flying and managed to land in Zweibrucken. The total damage amounted to approximately 100,000 Euro, but the pilot remained unharmed.
The emergency landing took place at Rheineland-Palatinate's Zweibrücken airfield. The small airplane, en route from London to Salzburg, had a crash landing due to a lost nose wheel during its initial attempt at Rieschweiler-Muhbach airfield. Thankfully, air traffic control guided the pilot to Zweibrücken for an emergency landing. The police in Pirmasens were notified of the incident and responded promptly to the scene. The pilot, despite the ordeal, walked away from the crash unscathed.
