- Small motor sailor crashes - pilot injured

A small propeller-driven aircraft crashed into a field during an attempted landing in Porta Westfalica (Minden-Lübbecke district). The 53-year-old pilot sustained moderate injuries, according to police. He was conscious and was taken to a hospital, where his life was not in danger.

The reason for the pilot losing control and his small plane landing in a nearby field instead of on the runway was initially unclear. He was the only person on board the two-seater aircraft.

As is standard in such cases, the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation in Braunschweig will now investigate the incident. This was previously reported by the "Mindener Tageblatt".

The investigation by the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation in Braunschweig will likely focus on factors such as technical issues or other unforeseen circumstances, including weather conditions. Despite the crash, other similar aircraft in the region continue to operate safely.
