Weather - Slippery winter conditions cause numerous car accidents in Hesse
Slippery roads have led to many car accidents in Hesse, some of them with injuries. On Tuesday morning, the police in Offenbach reported 25 accidents with nine injuries in south-east Hesse since Monday evening. Among others, a driver was seriously injured on a country road near Rodenbach (Main-Kinzig district) on Monday after his car skidded on the slippery road and skidded into oncoming traffic.
By early Tuesday morning, the police in Giessen had reported 28 accidents in Central Hessen, causing an estimated 150,000 in property damage. Two drivers were also slightly injured near Stadtallendorf and Laubach. However, they did not have to go to hospital.
