Slippery roads lead to several traffic accidents

Several traffic accidents occurred in Saxony-Anhalt on Tuesday morning due to slippery roads. According to the police, there were 26 accidents caused by slippery roads between 6.00 and 11.00 a.m. in the Magdeburg police district alone. Two people were slightly injured.

Weather - Slippery roads lead to several traffic accidents

Several traffic accidents occurred in Saxony-Anhalt on Tuesday morning due to slippery roads. According to the police, there were 26 accidents caused by slippery roads between 6.00 and 11.00 a.m. in the Magdeburg police district alone. Two people were slightly injured.

In the Halle police station area, there were around ten accidents during the morning rush hour due to slippery roads, a spokeswoman explained. In the Saale district, two cars collided on the Landstraße 172, seriously injuring one person. On the Autobahn 38 in the direction of Leipzig, one person in a car also crashed and was injured. By midday, the situation on the roads had calmed down.

Drivers in northern Saxony-Anhalt were largely spared from the slippery roads. In the area of the Stendal police station, there was only one slippery accident involving property damage by 11.00 a.m., according to the police. According to the police, there were also no frequent icy accidents in the Dessau-Roßlau region.
