Slight fall in unemployment in Bremen
The number of unemployed in the state of Bremen fell slightly in November. A total of 39,180 people were registered as unemployed, 349 fewer than in the previous month, according to the Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency on Thursday. The unemployment rate remained unchanged compared to October at 10.7 percent.
According to the employment agency, the weak economy is also having an increasing impact on the labor market in Bremen. The number of unemployed fell slightly overall in November. Compared to the previous year, however, it has risen significantly. In November 2022, the rate was still at 10.2 percent, 0.5 percentage points lower than now.
The decline in unemployment in November is a positive trend, but the increasing influence of the weak economy on the labor market in Bremen is causing concern. The labor market in Bremen has seen a slight decrease in the number of unemployed individuals over the past month.
