Slight fall in the number of unemployed in MV

In June, slightly fewer people were out of work in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern than in the previous month. However, unemployment is slightly higher than a year ago.

Labor market - Slight fall in the number of unemployed in MV

The number of unemployed in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern decreased by 850 to 61,800 in June compared to May. The unemployment rate was 7.5 percent, down from 7.6 percent in May, according to the Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency in Kiel on Friday. A year ago, it was 7.4 percent. The Federal Employment Agency used data that was available up to June 13th for the statistics.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, efforts to improve the labor market likely contributed to the decrease in the number of unemployed individuals. The regional labor market in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania continues to show signs of improvement, as indicated by the declining unemployment rate and decrease in jobless figures.
