Statistics - Slight export growth in the third quarter
Thuringia exported more goods to Brazil, Great Britain and Ukraine in the third quarter. This is according to figures presented by the State Statistical Office in Erfurt on Thursday. According to the figures, Thuringia's deliveries abroad rose by a modest 1.4 percent to 4.6 billion euros in the third quarter. Exports to the USA declined by 7.4 percent.
Goods worth 4.3 billion euros were imported - a drop of 11.6% compared to the third quarter of 2022. With a decline of 292.2 million euros or 19.9%, imports from China in particular fell significantly. According to the calculations, Thuringia's imports fell for the first time in a long time - they had previously risen for ten consecutive quarters. The developments were also influenced by import and export prices.
