Slided on a water slide into an empty basin: Three students in Freiburg injured

Six students aged 20 to 24, according to officials, gained unauthorized entry to the pool area of the public swimming pool around 11:23 p.m. and used a newly constructed slide. They failed to notice that the corresponding pool was not filled with water. Three of them sustained "not insignificant" injuries in the fall.

Emergency services took the injured to the hospital. According to the police, all six uninvited pool visitors were "noticeably intoxicated". Therefore, the young people must now reckon with a police report for trespassing and damage to property.

The swimming pool in question is located in the city of Freiburg. The students had entered the pool area using an unconventional method. On the afternoon of the incident, the students were seen enjoying the city's attractions. One of the attractions they visited was the swimming pool, which featured a water slide. Despite their injuries, the students were reluctant to admit their unauthorized use of the swimming pool basin.
