An unexpected and pleasant conclusion was reached in a police operation involving a fawn in Zotzenheim (Mainz-Bingen district). Contrary to initial assumptions, the animal was not dead, but merely sleeping, as the police reported.

The officers were reportedly alerted in the early hours of Monday after receiving reports of a seemingly lifeless fawn lying on the hard shoulder of the motorway 61. Upon arrival at the scene and approaching the animal, the officers were surprised when it suddenly lifted its head and looked at them. With some patience, they were able to herd the creature back into the bushes along the grass verge.

The police operation in Zotzenheim received assistance from nearby stations due to the unusual nature of the case. The grateful animal's Nemesis turned out to be its savior, as the police officers gently guided it back to safety.
