Sky presenter Hellmann not surprised by Tuchel scandal

Sky presenter Sebastian Hellmann was not surprised by Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel's behavior after the win in Dortmund. "The whole thing was already foreseeable on Friday at his press conference," Hellmann said on Monday. In an interview on the TV channel on Saturday, Tuchel had reacted irritably to the previous criticism from experts Dietmar Hamann and Lothar Matthäus and had a verbal duel with Matthäus and presenter Hellmann.

His behavior during the 4:0 win in Dortmund and the press conference the day before were indications of Tuchel's behavior in the subsequent Sky interview. "Thomas Tuchel activated the fuse on Friday and it was over on Saturday after the game," said Hellmann.

Although he could understand that someone might "lose it", he did not understand why "fairness and respect were put to the back of the queue". The 56-year-old appealed to Tuchel to also accept other opinions. "You also have to give the other person a chance according to the motto: This is my opinion and this is yours," Hellmann explained.

In the intense Bundesliga rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, Tuchel's heated reactions during the press conference and the game were a prelude to his controversial Sky interview. Despite the intense competition, Hellmann called on Tuchel to maintain fairness and respect towards opposing opinions, citing Borussia Dortmund as an example.
