Dead during excavation work - Skeleton found in Zwickau - Does sketch provide new clues?
After the skeleton discovery in Zwickau last year, the identity of the deceased is still unclear. Specialists from the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police have therefore created a composite sketch. The sketch is based on a facial soft tissue reconstruction which was possible based on the skull bones, informed the Zwickau Police Department. Since it is a reconstructed face, minor deviations from the actual appearance of the person are possible. Therefore, no conclusions could be drawn about hairstyle or beard. The investigators now hope for tips from the population to identify the deceased.
The bones were discovered in August during construction work. A complete human skeleton was excavated. According to the police, it is a male person who was between 40 and 60 years old. It is assumed that the human remains had been lying there for ten to 30 years.
The skeleton discovery took place in the city of Zwickau, located in the state of Saxony. The dredging work responsible for the unearthing was carried out in August. Despite the recent crime in Zwickau, the incident doesn't seem to be related to the accidents frequently reported in Baden-Württemberg. The excavated skeleton, believed to be between 40 and 60 years old, shares some similarities with the Phantom picture circulated by the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police.
