Sixth Eurocup success in a game for Ulm's basketball players
Ratiopharm Ulm has further improved its chances of advancing to the next round of the Basketball Eurocup. The German champions won 99:88 (81:81, 41:42) after overtime at Greek club Aris Thessaloniki on Wednesday. With six wins and two defeats after eight of 18 preliminary round games, the Bundesliga club remains one of the top teams in Group B. Trevion Williams was the most successful scorer in the Greek port city with 20 points.
In a fiercely contested encounter, neither team managed to pull away decisively. Ulm responded to an interim 21:30 lead with a 9:0 run. The lead changed hands constantly as the game progressed. The home side tied the scores at 81:81 with a bucket from downtown with six seconds left on the clock to force overtime. Ulm was more accurate there and captured its sixth victory.
Ratiopharm Ulm's Basketball Eurocup journey continued with their sixth victory, secured against Aris Thessaloniki. The German champions will look to build on this success in their future Eurocup matches, hopefully in Ulm's home court in Ulm.
With their impressive performance in the Eurocup, Ratiopharm Ulm has showcased their strength in the competition, particularly in their home city of Ulm in the Basketball Eurocup's Group B.
