Southern region of Germany: Lower Bavaria - Six people sustained injuries in a car accident involving a vehicle used by smugglers.
In Lower Bavaria, a sluice truck accident left six people injured. The only person unharmed was the suspected driver and operator, a 25-year-old man. The injured victims, ranging from 16 to 40 years old, are believed to be Syrians. Police had scheduled to inspect the truck operator's vehicle at Untergriesbach and Wegscheid on Friday morning. Instead of cooperating, the operator sped away, reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h in inhabited areas, apparently risking other drivers' safety. The suspect eventually lost control while making a sharp turn and flipped the vehicle, resulting in it landing on its roof.
