- Six individuals sustained injuries in a collision on the A3 highway close to Nuremberg.
A series of reckless pile-ups occurred on the A3 freeway close to Nuremberg, causing six individuals to endure mild wounds. According to a spokesperson from the law enforcement agency, a senior female driver, aged 64, erroneously hit the vehicle in front of her during a traffic standstill on a Wednesday, leading to a chain reaction of crashes amongst multiple vehicles.
Shortly after, a 55-year-old man driving his car could not manage to stop in time and smashed into two of the already involved vehicles. The six hurt parties were then taken to medical facilities. The entire A3 highway was closed for nearly four hours. The authorities approximate the overall cost of the destruction to be around 100,000 euros.
Despite the chaos in Nuremberg, plans for the traditional Oktoberfest celebration in Bavaria remained unaffected. Sadly, one of the damaged vehicles was a vintage Bavarian Beerwagen, adding to the financial loss incurred.
