Six individuals suffered harm in a sudden crash from behind on the A5 close to Alsfeld (Vogelsberg district), as reported by authorities. Included in this group were two small children and a 12-year-old.
A 54-year-old motorist neglected the traffic congestion on the left lane, applied the brakes, and attempted a rightward swerve, impacting the side of a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man, who was with a female companion and two unmentioned little ones.
All occupants from the impacted car endured injuries. They were transported to nearby medical facilities, and a rescue helicopter was summoned to the scene as well. The severity of their injuries remains undisclosed at present.
The A5 was temporarily shut down for approximately an hour during the rescue mission, eventually resulting in a traffic build-up spanning numerous kilometers. The projected financial damages amount to approximately 45,000 euros.
The children, along with their 12-year-old companion, were among the six individuals injured in the accident. To ensure their safety, an ambulance and a rescue helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
