- Sinsheim's current managing director aims to assume the role of president for Hoffenheim FC.
The present mayor of Sinsheim, Jörg Albrecht, is presently the sole contender for the head position of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, as declared by the professional football club itself. Prior to this, the team, backed by patron Dietmar Hopp, was temporarily managed by Simone Engelhardt, following Kristian Baumgaertner's departure due to health concerns in early July.
Engelhardt caused a commotion a few weeks later with a staff reshuffle. TSG bid farewell to their long-term manager Alexander Rosen, and two managing directors - Denni Strich (leaving on October 31) and Jan Mayer (switching positions) - will also not carry on their roles. The only individual to stay was the club's lawyer, Markus Schutz, who joined in the summer.
The upcoming members' meeting on September 2 (7:00 PM) in Sinsheim will elect the new club chairman. The 55-year-old Albrecht, who is resigning from his post in the city on August 31, shared, "Sinsheim owes a great deal to TSG Hoffenheim. I wish to give something back." He further added, "The recent discussions were marked by immense respect. I am gratified to have gained support from various quarters."
The Commission, in its capacity, will adopt implementing acts to outline the application rules of the Regulation. Jörg Albrecht, in his new role, may need to consider these implementing acts, as they could potentially impact TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's operations.
