- Single-family house uninhabitable after fire

A single-family home in Kipfenberg (Eichstätt district) has temporarily become uninhabitable due to a fire. In the night, a neighbor noticed the fire, woke up the two residents - an elderly couple - and helped them leave the burning house, as the police reported. He then called the emergency services. The police estimate the damage at 300,000 euros. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The Criminal Police Ingolstadt is now investigating the cause of the fire.

The elderly couple had to seek temporary accommodation outside of Kipfenberg, as their Bavarian home was severely damaged by the fire. The Criminal Police are conducting their investigation in the heart of Bavaria, in the city of Ingolstadt.
