The singer of the Spider Murphy Gang, Günther Sigl, got married at the age of 76. "Doris caught me at a special moment - and I said YES. She was very surprised herself," Sigl told the "Bild" newspaper (Thursday) about his longtime partner's marriage proposal. According to the newspaper, Sigl and Doris Furtmair were married on September 1 by Munich's mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) at the registry office in the English Garden - after almost twenty years of dating.
Furtmair took Sigl's surname at the wedding. "It's already on her doorbell sign," said the newlyweds. However, they kept their separate apartments. For good reason, emphasized the singer, who landed a number one hit in the early 1980s with "Skandal im Sperrbezirk" and still regularly performs on stage with his band: "We have a different rhythm of life.
