In Neu Wulmstorf, a man was shot on Wednesday afternoon in the Harburg district. The suspect who's been arrested, aged 23, has yet to make any statements about the incident. He's accused of purposely shooting his acquaintance in the thigh with two gunshots. The police are currently probing this case as an attempted murder.
The authorities reported that the two were conversing in a vehicle when the perpetrator unexpectedly flung open the passenger door and discharged both shots. The victim, a 35-year-old male, was hospitalized and underwent surgery as a result. His situation is currently stable, and he's not facing any life-threatening risks. The injured man is unavailable for questioning at the moment. The motive behind this shooting in Neu Wulmstorf, located close to the border of Hamburg, remains undefined.
As per the reports, the police discovered the victim in a ditch and commenced hunting for the perpetrator. They apprehended an individual on a field west of the crime spot an hour later, who matches their description. The arrest occurred without any show of resistance, and he was set to present himself before a judge on Thursday. The officers are still on the lookout for additional witnesses.
