Tech giant Siemens plans to invest an extra 100 million euros to broaden its switchgear factory in Frankfurt's Fechenheim area. This move is expected to result in an additional 400 jobs by mid-2027, bringing the total workforce to 2,300 employees. Announcing the development on Thursday, Siemens highlighted that, during the previous year, it had already put in 30 million euros to broaden its production capacities at the same location.

Siemens disclosed that, within the next few months, the structures occupying a 3.5-hectare ground recently acquired would be transformed into manufacturing spaces and offices. Furthermore, the company is known for its production of switchgear in Frankfurt - essential for energy supply and distribution - which is sent across the globe, reaching customers like industries, municipalities, hospitals, and airports.
