Siebatcheu will miss Gladbach for several weeks

Bundesliga soccer team Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to do without Jordan Siebatcheu for several weeks. The 27-year-old has suffered a torn fiber in his thigh. This was announced by coach Gerardo Seoane on Thursday. Otherwise, the coach will only have to do without long-term injuries such as goalkeeper Jonas Omlin and Ko Itakura for the home game against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). Stefan Lainer, who has recovered from cancer, is of course also not yet an option for the game. "He's still being controlled and under different pressure than the team. We hope that he will be back to full strength next year," explained the coach.

Gladbach have had a run against the Kraichgauers, who are still undefeated away from home in the Bundesliga, in recent years. Most recently, they have won three home games, scoring a total of twelve goals. This is just a side note, noted Seoane. "Hoffenheim have developed very well this season. They are very homogeneous and have a good mix of robustness and footballing qualities," said the coach. His team had recently celebrated three consecutive home wins at Borussia-Park.

Despite Jordan Siebatcheu's absence due to a thigh injury, Borussia Mönchengladbach will continue their Bundesliga campaign. The team, currently in good form with three consecutive home wins, will face the undefeated TSG Hoffenheim away from home this Saturday.
