Weather forecast - Showers and thunderstorms move over Hesse

The weather in Hessen will be mixed over the weekend - higher temperatures and sunshine are expected for the new week. The German Weather Service (DWD) has predicted strong cloud cover with heavy rain and occasional strong thunderstorms for Saturday. The highest temperatures will be between 22 and 25 degrees, in higher altitudes around 19 degrees. On Sunday night, some showers and thunderstorms are forecasted over the country, but it will then remain mostly clear and dry. It will cool down to 12 to 7 degrees.

Some clouds are also expected in the Hessian sky on Sunday - it will mostly remain dry. It will be a bit cooler with temperatures between 20 and 23 degrees, in higher mountain regions around 16 degrees. The night to Monday will also be cloudy and dry, with temperatures up to 7 degrees.

The new week starts much friendlier: The thermometer rises to up to 26 degrees, in higher mountain regions up to 20 degrees. And the sun shows itself more frequently.

Despite the promising weather for the new week, a thunderstorm might disrupt the tranquility of Offenbach on Sunday, as mentioned in the DWD's weather forecast. The weekend in Hesse will largely be dominated by rain, with heavy downpours expected on Saturday according to the weather service. Despite the rain, temperatures will still be relatively high, reaching between 22 and 25 degrees during the day. The weather on Sunday will see some rain showers and thunderstorms in the evening, but the day itself should remain primarily dry.
