Weather - Showers and thunderstorms in Bavaria
In parts of Bavaria, there have been showers and thunderstorms since the afternoon, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). The DWD further reported that from the Alps to the southern Bohemian Forest, there is still an increased risk of severe weather due to heavy rain, gale-force winds up to 115 kilometers per hour, and also hail.
Additionally, particularly in Franconia and the Alpine foothills, strong to stormy gales are expected in the afternoon. A spokesperson stated that in Mittelfranken, wind speeds of up to 87 km/h have already been measured. The DWD also forecasted continuous rain from the evening until Sunday evening in this region, with locally heavy precipitation.
