Special forces in action - Shots fired from window in Elmshorn - large-scale police operation
From the window of an apartment in Elmshorn, in the Kreis Pinneberg, multiple shots were fired - at least that's what a witness reported to the police, who arrived with a large contingent. The officers entered the apartment and arrested the 34-year-old resident, the Police Directorate in Bad Segeberg announced in the evening. In the apartment, they found a revolver.
A total of 13 patrol car teams were involved in the operation, according to the control room, as well as additional special forces. The house was surrounded. The Federal Police also provided support. The streets around the incident site were temporarily closed - including the B431, which runs from Elmshorn to Glückstadt.
The man must now account for his actions in violation of the Firearms Act. The motivation and other backgrounds of the action were initially unclear.
