After a shot was fired at a car in Füssen (Ostallgäu district), the police launched an investigation into the unknown shooter. A 56-year-old man heard a loud bang and then discovered a bullet hole in his parked vehicle, the police reported. Officers then cordoned off the area and searched a nearby vacant farmhouse. A police helicopter and special forces unit were also deployed.

There was no threat to the public at any time, according to the reports. Initial assumptions suggest that the shot was fired from a small-caliber rifle and was likely accidental. The police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information about the shooter.

The incident occurred within the District of Ostallgäu, where Füssen is located. The police are interested in interviewing anyone who might have been near the farmhouse, as it could potentially provide leads related to the shooter in the District of Ostallgäu.
