Freudenstadt district - Shot at public bus?: 67-year-old arrested
A 67-year-old man allegedly shot at a bus in Empfingen in the northern Black Forest out of anger. Nobody was injured in the incident on Tuesday afternoon, according to the public prosecutor's office in Rottweil and the Pforzheim police headquarters. During the incident in the district of Freudenstadt, the driver and several passengers were reportedly on or off the bus.
According to the investigation so far, the bus had to pass cars that were blocking its route after a traffic accident. In the process, it probably drove over the 67-year-old resident's green space and got stuck in it, according to reports. The man is said to have been angry about this and then shot at the bus at least once with a firearm. It is suspected that at least one bullet hit the bus.
Police officers arrested the suspect at the scene. On Wednesday, a decision will be made on whether to apply for the 67-year-old man to be remanded in custody. The specific sequence of events is still under investigation. Investigators are looking for witnesses.
