Music - Sheeran in Stuttgart, Hamburg and Düsseldorf in summer '25
The British pop star Ed Sheeran (33) has announced three concerts in Germany for 2025. Planned are performances in Stuttgart (29.6.), Hamburg (5.7.), and Düsseldorf (5.9.). In the summer of 2024, Ed Sheeran was only seen here in the context of festival performances – next year, he will go on tour again. The presale for this starts on the coming Wednesday (10.7.) at "eventim.de".
The tour is named "+-=÷x" at first sight. Two years ago, Sheeran closed his so-called Mathematical-Album series with "-" (Subtract). This series includes his particularly successful album "÷" (Divide), published in 2017, as well as the albums "x" (Multiply; English for Multiplication), "=" (Equals; English for Equality Sign), and "+" (Aussprache: Plus) from 2011.
Sheeran ("Bad Habits") is considered one of the most sought-after pop stars in the world according to Warner Music. He sold more than 45 million albums and 150 million singles worldwide according to his label. In 2021, he performed in Germany as part of a tour in Gelsenkirchen, Munich, and Frankfurt am Main.
Ed Sheeran's upcoming tour, named "+-=÷x", will take him to various cities in Germany beyond his festival performances in 2024. This includes concerts in North Rhine-Westphalia's Düsseldorf and Hamburg in the Bundesländer of North Rhine-Westphalia and Hamburg respectively. Besides Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, Great Britain's popular artist is also scheduled to perform. Music lovers from all over Germany and even Great Britain might be excited to join these events, as people from different backgrounds often gather for such concerts. This year, Sheeran's performances in Germany have already garnered a considerable following, with his previous concert in Gelsenkirchen being no exception.
