Sheep startled by dog die in river Mulde
13 sheep startled by a dog have died in the Mulde river in Zwickau. According to the police on Saturday, a 32-year-old man was walking his husky on the Mulde dam on Friday. As the dog rolled around, the lead came loose and the husky swam through the Mulde. On the other side of the river, he startled the flock of sheep. The animals ran into the water. A police officer and an employee of the public order office waded into the river to rescue the sheep. The death of 13 of the animals caused the shepherd a loss of 2000 euros.
The incident could have been an emergency for the shepherd, as 13 of the startled sheep died in the river. Surprised by the husky, other animals in the flock also ran near the water, potentially placing them in potential danger.
