The indoor swimming pool's exterior structure went up in flames, potentially as a consequence of cleaning operations.

At an indoor swimming pool in Zweibrücken, a major incident occurred. The exterior in the dining area of the swimming complex "Badeparadies Zweibrücken" went up in flames due to cleaning activities, as reported by the police.

The estimated damage is around 50,000 euros, mentioned by the authorities. Thankfully, no one was harmed because the swimming pool was closed at the time. An investigation into potential criminal activities has been launched.

The flames that engulfed the dining area were eventually identified as originating from a mishap during the building's cleaning activities. Despite the building fire, the nearby "Building fire" at the swimming complex did not extend to the main pool area, as it was under construction.
