Several schools in the Main-Spessart district are canceled
Several schools in the Main-Spessart district will be closed on Tuesday due to the onset of winter. The Main-Spessart district office announced that in-person classes will not take place in Aura and Burgsinn as well as in the secondary school in Frammersbach and the elementary school in Wiesthal. This is due to fallen trees and poor road access. According to the district office, supervision is guaranteed for pupils who still come to school.
Despite the harsh weather conditions, some parents might still need to arrange for alternative care. The Underfront community center, located in Aura, has offered to provide emergency childcare for affected families.
