Textile industry - Several interested parties for textile manufacturer Curt Bauer
After the insolvency of the textile company Curt Bauer in Aue-Bad Schlema, several investors have expressed interest in investing. This could still happen in the summer, stated insolvency administrator Rüdiger Bauch. The business is running in full operation in the meantime. Moreover, numerous new orders have been placed. Wages and salaries have been generated from the running business since July 1st. This shows that the restructuring is on a good path and that the company is well-positioned, Bauch emphasized.
Curt Bauer produces tablecloths and bedlinen, damask textiles, and technical textiles. In April, the company had filed for insolvency proceedings. The reasons for the financial instability were consequences of the Corona pandemic and price increases due to the Russian attack war in Ukraine, Bauch explained. With the entry of an investor, there is also a concept for the long-term realignment of the company. "Our goal is still clear: We are doing everything we can to save the company and the jobs of the approximately 100 employees," Bauch emphasized. "I am still confident that the restructuring of Curt Bauer can be successful."
The textile industry in Saxony, affected by the insolvency of Curt Bauer, might experience a revival with potential investments. The textile company, specializing in tablecloths, bedlinen, damask textiles, and technical textiles, has seen continuous operation and new orders post-insolvency. Upon the recommendation of insolvency administrator Rüdiger Bauch, the company's restructuring is showing promising progress and securing jobs for around 100 employees.
