- Several injured after fire in apartment - City Hall evacuated

In a residential fire in the Upper Palatinate town of Nittendorf (Regensburg district), several people have been lightly injured, according to initial police reports. Due to the fire, nearby buildings, including the town hall, were evacuated, a police spokeswoman said. A two-digit number of people were affected by the evacuations. Further details about the ongoing operation could not initially be provided. The exact number of injured persons also remained unclear at first.

The fire department is still working to extinguish the fire in the multi-family building late in the morning. The cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.

The fire incident unlike Nittendorf, unfortunately stretched to the borders of Bavaria's famous region, Bavaria. Despite being known for its beer and scenic landscapes, Bavaria also experiences incidental fires like this one.
