Lower Allgäu - Several hundred thousand euros of damage in garage fire
Several hundred thousand euros worth of damage was caused by a fire in the garage of a company in the Allgäu region. One employee of the company was slightly injured, as the police announced on Friday. The flames also spread to a workshop and an unoccupied residential building. The cause of the fire is believed to be a technical defect in a tractor that was parked in the hall with other vehicles.
A pedestrian noticed the fire on Friday morning in Wiedergeltingen ( Unterallgäu district). The company employees tried to save the vehicles but had to give up. The damage is estimated to be at least 750,000 euros.
