- Several hundred thousand euros in damage from car fires

A car parked in front of an apartment building in the Böblingen district caused significant damage. A resident was lightly injured due to smoke inhalation, according to a police spokesperson.

The vehicle caught fire for unknown reasons and spread to three other cars and the building's facade before firefighters arrived. Two other vehicles were also damaged. The estimated damage is approximately 400,000 euros.

Firefighters rescued 27 residents, some via ladder. The Schönaich house was partially uninhabitable after the incident. Temporary accommodation was arranged for two people. The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.

The firefighting team successfully extinguished the intense blaze, preventing it from causing further damage. The local firefighting department was commended for their swift and effective response.
