Several events on the short film action day
Several events are also planned in Thuringian cities to mark the nationwide Short Film Day. A short film walk will take place in Erfurter Steig on 21 December from 5 p.m., as the organizers announced on Tuesday. Screenings will also take place in Jena, Ilmenau and Suhl on the same day. The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be showing short films in easy language and experimental short films on December 19. The theme of the twelfth Short Film Festival is "In limbo".
The day of action to celebrate short film was launched in France in 2011 and took place in Germany for the first time in 2012. Since then, it has always been celebrated at the beginning of winter.
More than 300 events have already been registered nationwide, and last year there were reportedly 570 events. Anyone who wants to can still organize their own film screening. Further information can be found at: www.kurzfilmtag.com
