- Seven individuals sustain injuries in mishap on the A5 highway.
An incident occurred on the A5 highway close to Alsfeld in eastern Hesse, causing harm to seven individuals. As per the police's report, there were two consecutive collisions, each involving three vehicles. The incident began when the driver of the first car had to suddenly decelerate due to congestion, causing the two vehicles behind it to collide from the rear.
The drivers of the third and fourth cars were able to halt in time. Unfortunately, the driver of the last car did not notice the stationary vehicles ahead and collided with them from the rear. Four individuals were moderately injured and required hospitalization, while the remaining three sustained minor injuries. The estimated damages amounted to around 75,000 euros.
The cleanup and recovery process lasted approximately two hours. The heavy traffic and temporary complete shutdown led to extensive traffic disruptions.
The police mentioned that the series of collisions was a result of multiple accidents on the A5 highway. Despite the driver of the first car avoiding injury, the subsequent accidents led to significant harm among seven individuals.
